Detergents work by helping water penetrate fabrics and then loosen dirt from them. They also suspend dirt in the water, so it doesn't go back onto the fabric. If you’re not seeing a clean, it’s possible the soil from the garments has redeposited on the fabric. Be sure you use the setting on your machine that’ll allow for sufficient movement and drainage.
